Absolutely everything about this place is perfect: location, food, service, drinks, vibe. I will say, the restaurant comes up fast so be aware that when you are driving by, you'll come up to it and then BAM, there it is haha. My friend and I got the coconut shrimp to start and the pieces were huge! So flavorful and crispy and the sauce was delicious. We shared tacos (taco Thursday!? Sign me up!) - a Brussels one, a shrimp one, and a fish one, and some coconut risotto and literally everything was divine. Only advice would be to grab a sweatshirt if you're sitting outside in the late afternoon!

Went here again, and as usual it was incredible! There was live music and the place had such a great energy in there. The staff was amazing as usual! I had the Dominican Ribs and they were falling off the bone and full of flavor! I recommend making a reservation as they get very busy.

My family and I were able to sit in the bus. It was pretty hot but still a cool experience. Food is priced well and was very tasty. I enjoyed the jerk chicken and coconut risotto meal. The staff were so friendly and accommodating.

Came here for dinner via the Cowfish to Rumba courtesy boat at the start of 4th of July weekend. Arriving here by boat is just so cool, and I still can't believe this boat ride is actually free. We'd made a 7 pm reservation for two but wanted to sit outside, which ended up resulting in a bit more of a wait. The hosts were apologetic and you could tell they were in the middle of dealing with a ton of chaos trying to get everyone seated after the happy hour rush cleared out. After about a half hour we were seated outside just in time to watch the sun set. The ambiance of this place is cool and Caribbean themed, as is the menu, which makes for a fun atmosphere since Rumba is situated on the water. This menu is a welcome change to anything else you'll find out here in the Hamptons. We started off with the Dominican Rib appetizer which was fall off the bone tender, a perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Next, we split the soy and sugar cane salmon which was perfectly cooked and paired impeccably with the coconut risotto and the Caribbean Mahi, served with amazing plantains. If you're in the Hampton Bays area and feel like you can't possibly look at another menu that's nothing but lobster rolls, this should be your next spot.

Definitely a hot spot on a weekend! We came for a late dinner and the crowd was still going. Very fun vibes and a great menu. Loved the drink options, as well as the food menu. Creative cocktails and mocktails. Tasty and fun options for entrees. Duck empanadas were delicious (so much so we ordered a second round). Loved the tacos, and they were decent in size. Prices were fair for the area. Friendly staff and an overall nice evening out. Would definitely be back!

Very satisfied with this restaurant! Drinks were great - I recommend getting the rum flight or the craft of rum punch! For apps, my friends and I started with the wings and the crab cake (special) - both were tasty! All our entrees were packed with flavor and every bite was delicious! Really cute vibes inside and if you want an amazing server, Tatiana was THE BEST. She was kind and on point with all of our orders/requests! Only one note if you are a Shrimp & Grits fan, the grits have corn in them! We were surprised, but it was still good. Definitely coming back again!

Food choices are good Drinks at EXPENSIVE Views area phenomenal Loads of families so they're family friendly and that is A+ Parking us Valet don't be concerned when they park your expensive car onto of another car. Literally overlooking the water. Lines Can be long. On season it's too busy for us. The season started Early I guess... Was a bit overwhelmed with drink prices ... at bar

Rumba never fails to disappoint me !! I sat right near the window and I was able to see the water outside. My server was great and attentive. She gave us recommendations on things we should try. I had the sweet heat margarita it was delicious probably one of the best margaritas I have had in a very long time. Everytime I come here I always order the same meal because it is AMAZING. I ordered the Grenada chicken. The chicken has the perfect amount of jerk seasoning on it. The chicken is spicy but the creamy coconut risotto balances it out perfectly. There is a sweet chili glaze that goes over top that gives the dish a nice kick. It is also served with a tomato confit which is my favorite. Definitely recommend this dish it is packed full of flavor and is so nicely balanced. My aunt got the salmon and she said it was delicious and had no complaints! Overall 5 star experience!! Con: parking is not the best here - there is only a small parking lot behind the restaurant. I came when there was no valet so I had to wait until someone pulled out of a spot which took about 10-15 minutes .

Rumba was on our radar for a while, after all we have read and heard here on Yelp. Well, we thought perhaps it was overrated (?). Not. Upon arrival, (and this is November, post summer peak season in the Hamptons) we find the place is packed and everyone is having a great time. We realized this is the place to be on a cold November Sunday late afternoon. We ordered: - Grilled Shrimp Salad - for moi - Breakfast Brunch Burger - for hubs , he was very very happy with his choice. - Plus, Caribbean Bellinis - amongst other island style beverages. To end our meal, we ordered their recommended Key Lime Pie. It was the best key Lime Pie North of the Florida Keys. And, Yes I have been there numerous times in my life. I know key lime pie. *** efficient staff *** ***outdoor dining during warmer months ** ***good tropical music (Reggae) *** Enjoy!! Yes, we will definitely return. Thank you for reading!
